Photography 1 to 1 - Getting out of Auto with your DSLR

These sessions are designed to get you out of ‘automatic’ setting on your DSLR, giving you confidence to try various manual settings to photograph landscapes and close up.

There’s a range of locations ideal for making the most of your camera, whether you are keen to learn about photographing country scenes, waterscapes or architecture. It’s an opportunity to get hands-on experience, chat about what you want to improve on, learn new skills and take shots at different settings to appreciate the difference it makes.

All this takes place in safe, friendly, professional 1 to 1 environment.

Tutorials cost £150, are held on Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday and should be pre-booked as part of your stay at Harling House Bed and Breakfast.  Each workshop lasts at least 3 hours and payment made during your stay.

When you make your booking, Stephen will contact you to discuss your requirements and the various locations, times of day for the photography and so on. Please phone us on 015242 42113 or email to check availability. Example shoot locations include:

Woodland at Chapel-le-Dale (light and shade, outdoors)

Lime Kiln at Langcliffe (mainly indoor, shadows and shapes)

Various local options (outdoors, waterfalls, moving water)

Seasonal shots – spring bluebells, autumnal colours.

You are responsible for your own safety and possessions at all times. Stephen Knowles Photography and/or Harling House Bed and Breakfast do not accept any liability for any injury, accident or loss that may occur during the workshop. As such, please ensure that you have the correct level of insurance to suit your needs.
