Having both worked in either Retail or Local Government for many years, and spent holidays preferring to stay in small hotels or B&Bs rather than larger, impersonal hotels, setting up our own Bed & Breakfast was something we set about doing when the opportunity arose. 

It took us a few years to plan and find the right location, somewhere to suit travellers and for us to live. 

Harling House was ready to be transformed and we could see the potential to create our own Bed & Breakfast, a place that we too would choose to stay.

We moved here in 2014 and quickly realised that this is the right place, with the facilities we can provide and the location being very convenient for 'on-the-doorstep' walks, shops and eateries. Plus, we're a short drive for days out to the Lake District or further in to the Yorkshire Dales.

Something we couldn't have foreseen was the number of guests who return, so we must be doing something right, and also that we've been awarded a World Record.  It's true, we grew the world's tallest Teasel in 2021 and have the certificate to prove it. 

We're very happy here and pleased that we chose Ingleton and Harling House. We are sure you will be too.
